Underground Storage Tank Compliance
As of June 2021, all UST owners are required by state and federal law to perform a 30 day walkthrough and a series of annual and three year functionality tests on each UST owned. Managing the results (and associated repair work) of the required compliance testing and all the associated paperwork can be challenging. Inspections from Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) are now also a regular occurrence and will continue to ramp up moving forward as it will remain a priority. Violation notices from IDEM are not something you want to receive as it leaves you 30 days to get compliant or face fines up to $10,000, potentially have your site shut down or even federal/criminal penalties.
