Keeping a County Fleet Fueled During a System Upgrade

Temporary fueling helped maintain access while Gasoline Equipment replaced the site’s permanent fuel system.

THE NEED

The fuel supply couldn’t stop with the construction.

A county fueling facility served vehicles supporting public services, including highway operations and emergency response. Replacing its permanent fuel system meant planning for those vehicles to keep coming back for fuel while the work was underway.

Gasoline Equipment put temporary fueling in place so the facility could continue serving its users during the replacement project.

Project scope

  • Temporary fueling setup
  • Underground tank and piping removal
  • Aboveground gasoline and diesel storage
  • Dispensers, tank monitoring, and DEF system

THE WORK

A temporary setup. A permanent replacement.

With temporary fueling available, the team removed the existing underground fuel storage tanks and piping, then installed a compartmented aboveground tank for gasoline and diesel.

The replacement also included a catwalk, canopy work, new dispensers, automatic tank gauging, and a new DEF system. The temporary setup supported operations while the permanent infrastructure was replaced.

THE RESULT

Fueling access through the transition.

The client’s team reported that the temporary setup allowed the facility to continue operating while the new system was installed. The project paired an immediate fueling need with a longer-term equipment replacement.
